Everyone who is anyone knows that it’s an incredible honor to be crowned winner of the two biggest Soca competitions – the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians (Tuco) Road Monarch competition and the International Soca Monarch competition viagra telefonisch bestellen. Of course, it comes as absolutely no shock to Soca-lovers everywhere that Machel Montano was once again dubbed the reigning Road Monarch winner in this year’s competitions.

But shortly after winning his fifth Mitsubishi Lancer as a result of the competitions, Montano confessed that he very well may not take part in next year’s competitions as his plans have been “changing a lot lately“. He went on to explain that his focus would be on making a distinct transition into the mainstream music industry and shifting away from his soca-heavy tracks. Although Mr. Fete fans everywhere are sure to be disappointed in light of his announcement, we wish Montano all of the best in his future endeavors!

How do you feel about Montano’s decision to cross over into mainstream music and to leave the Soca Monarchs behind? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below!

Every person reaches a point where they want to try new challenges. Most try because they can’t concur their chosen field. This is NOT true in this case because Mr Montano has concurred his field. To what extent he crosses over and to what level he succeed only time will tell. With soca music, hits and more hits wins and keep fans. The question is whether or not any other artist can match or surpass Montano. I think he is following Jordan’s model of trying something only to come back in several years and we will beg him to come back which will only elevate his brand. Well played Montano
